"Pretty useful, but translations can be off"
I’ve been using it for chatting and it does the job most of the time. Short, simple stuff usually translates fine, but once the messages get longer or have slang, it can start sounding kind of strange. I’m not sure if it’s the wording or the language combo, but yeah, it’s not always right. Still, it helps enough that I keep using it

"Good for finding Spanish partners, even if I lost track of time"
I’ve been using tandem for a while now, I want to say a few months, though it feels like both two weeks and half a year somehow. The partner matching has been solid. I found native Spanish speakers quickly, and most of the people I matched with actually seemed interested in having a real conversation. Of course, some people don’t reply or vanish after one chat, but that’s kind of normal with any app like this. Overall, it’s been useful and easy to meet people around my level.

"Decent for Practice, If You’re Patient"
I’ve been using Tandem to find people to practice languages with, it’s been fine overall. I’m probably a bit biased because I really like casual language exchanges, so I enjoyed the few good conversations I had and even picked up some useful phrases. That said, a lot of people disappear after one chat, and the app can feel kind of cluttered sometimes. If you go in not expecting every match to be super serious, it can be useful. For me, it’s a 3-star experience.

tandem is easy to use overall, and I like the idea behind it. That said, it does freeze on me sometimes, and messages can take a while to load, which gets annoying. It’s not a bad app, but if I’m paying for it, I’d really expect it to be a little more reliable

"Useful app, but the weird messages get old"
I’ve had a decent experience with Tandem App overall. It’s actually handy for finding language partners, and most of the people I’ve talked to have been normal, friendly, and easy to chat with. So in that sense, I like it. But also, the safety side could be better. I still get random weird messages here and there, which is annoying. Reporting them doesn’t always feel super clear, and it kind of seems like it takes a while for anything to happen. It’s not a horrible app or anything, it can be really useful — but I wish there was more active moderation. I’d give it 3 stars.

"The level tags don’t always feel right"
I’ve been using tandem to find people to chat with, and it’s not bad at all. I can’t say it isn’t useful, because I’ve had some decent conversations on there. The only thing that throws me off is the level labels. Some people who are marked advanced still have a hard time, while a few beginners are way better than you’d expect. It makes picking who to talk to kinda tricky. The app works fine for the most part, I just wish the level system was a little more accurate...

"Pretty good for fixing messages, honestly"
I mostly use tandem.net to clean up my messages before I send them, and it usually catches basically everything obvious. The wording also tends to sound more natural, which is nice because nobody wants to send weird texts these days. Sometimes it makes things a little too formal, like every correction tool does at some point, so I still tweak a few words myself. Overall, it’s useful, saves me time, and I’d give it 4 stars

"I’ve only really paid attention to setting up..."
I’ve only really paid attention to setting up my profile on tandem.net so far, but that part was easy. Adding my info, uploading a photo, and tweaking the details all went smoothly. I didn’t spend much time looking at the other features yet, but I liked that I could make my profile feel like me without overthinking it.

"Notifications could be better"
tandem.net has been fine overall, but the notification settings kind of get on my nerves. I keep getting alerts for stuff I don’t really care about, and then somehow I miss the ones I actually wanted to see. Weirdly, I remember getting three notifications in a row while I was trying to eat a banana with one hand, and none of them were useful.
It’s not a terrible app or anything, I just wish there was more control over what pops up and when. If the options were clearer and easier to adjust, I’d probably feel a lot better about using it and would rate it higher.

"Scheduling was a pain"
Finding a time that worked was harder than it should’ve been. Rescheduling took forever too. Annoying...

"Voice messages are really useful"
I mostly use Tandem App for practicing languages, and the voice messages have been great. They send fast, sound clear, and I like being able to replay them if I miss something. I’ve had a couple slow uploads, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it makes conversations feel more natural than just typing.

"Quick Help When I Needed It"
I ran into an issue and wasn’t sure how long it would take to get sorted out. I sent them a message, expecting to wait a while, but they got back to me really fast. After a quick back-and-forth, they figured out what was going on and fixed it for me. Super easy experience and definitely a relief.

I was trying to get things sorted quickly, but it felt like hardly anyone was active or responding. I kept waiting around for replies and felt rushed the whole time.

"First impression was good"
My first impression was that it just worked, which is what I wanted. It syncs between my phone and laptop fine most days, though I do notice small delays here and there. Nothing major, just not always instant

"My ID check was quick and easy"
I had to do the identity verification on Tandem App, it was painless for me. The whole thing only took a few minutes, the camera scan worked on the first try, and I was back into my account faster than I expected. I didn’t run into any hassle at all.

"Lots of languages, but I expected a bit more"
I do like that tandem.net has so many languages to choose from, including some I didn’t expect to find. It’s fairly easy to come across people to practice with, and it’s not just the usual major languages either. That said, I’m a little disappointed because the overall experience hasn’t felt as great as I hoped so far.

"The recent badges haven’t really motivated me"
Lately, the badges I’ve been getting feel kind of random, so they don’t really push me to keep learning. At first I thought the points might help keep me motivated, but based on my most recent experience, they just haven’t made much of a difference.

"The filters absolutely nailed it"

"Pretty good lately, but still a bit inconsistent"
I’ve been using Tandem recently to find people to practice with, and it’s been decent overall. My last few chats were actually helpful, so that’s made me feel better about the app. That said, replies can still be hit or miss, sometimes you get someone great, and other times the conversation just disappears. The app itself works fine most of the time, but the whole experience can feel a little random. Not bad, just not something I’d call amazing either
